(okay, actually I was back like 3 days ago LOL)
Beijing was... COLD. Like really cold. & dry, VERY SUPER DRY, polluted, the epitome of URBAN TRANSPORT PROBLEM (omg, that was totally witnessing all the case studies happening live lollol), OILY FOOD.....
but nevertheless FUN (:
It was sad that we didn't get to see snow, but all the lakes/rivers/water catchments were frozen into ice oooOooo~
From day 2 to day 5, it was all spent dancing, and some nights shopping! After breakfast daily, the bus driver would drive us from our hotel to some dance studio we rented since BDA doesn't have empty studios for our self practice. Then we'd be driven to BDA for lunch at their restaurant, and a bit of free time which we'll either buy the entire rack of yogurt from their convenience store or hit the 2 dance shopping streets!!! followed by class from 2-530! Really enjoyed my time there, though we did pretty basic stuff. But the teachers there are so passionate, patient and detailed in their teaching. And the dancers there are all SUPER TALL AND SKINNY. After this trip I wouldn't even dare to claim I'm tall/skinny or what. :O:O:O And their guys are exceptionally handsome... LOL!!!! partly cos they're dancers HAHAHAH!
And also met Yongxin who's studying there to collect costumes for laoshi (heavy costumes, i came back with 2 hand luggages and my check in luggage was 26kg LOL i couldnt even carry it)
We got lucky on Wednesday night!! Just nice there was a performance and laoshi managed to get free tickets for us, so we went down to the performance hall at Peking Uni to watch the performance and guess what~~!!!! We managed to watch Wang Ya Bin, Shao Jun Ting and Sun Ke perform live!!! Wang Ya Bin did this dance:
She's the original dancer of this dance!!!!
Omg, it was like the best night of all the days we've been there. it's like watching your idols?!?! Shao Jun Ting did a duet of The butterfly lovers w another guy and Sun Ke performed in 2 other dances. I never thought this was ever possible in my entire lifetime!!
Sorry if this part bore you guys out, esp if you all aren't into chinese classical dance :-/ but in case ya'll want to have a more familiar image of who they are, wang ya bin was the girl who danced the ti4 shen1 for zhang zi yi in House of Flying Daggers!
Ok moving on.... here are some photos to illustrate our days at BDA!
We went shopping at Xi dan on Thursday and Friday night, and it's really a shopping haven HEHEHEHE. Only down side: their stores closes really earlyyyyyy. and i swear, we almost froze to death while we were walking to the shopping mall on thursday night. It was (god knows what temperature) but the wind was freaking strong!! Even being wrapped in 3 or 4 layers, wearing a mask, ear muffs, gloves and we still felt numb!! That night was crazy LOL SO WAS THE SHOPPING ^^
On friday we had to settle dinner by ourselves and since after 9 the only shops still open are the fast food, yujia and I settled for KFC since it has a more "culturally different" menu apart from the same burgers and stuff.... and why we said that is cos our meal was... THIS:
Black pepper beef rice (in a real big serving, we shared!), Milk tea and egg tarts. OMG. if you think Singapore kfc egg tarts are to die for, you will DEFINITELY DIE FOR China/Taiwan kfc egg tarts!! They're x10000 times better hahah AND CHEAPER TOO.
Not forgetting, one of my loved food there, BING TANG HU LU!
Anw, got a few new iphone casing there and say hi to my new iphone look ^^
And many other buys~~ on the weekends we went sightseeing around the usual china places-- The Forbidden City, some gardens, Great wall, Olympic Stadium... and I met amanda chan!! (sorry the photos are jumbled up!!)
oh god the great wall LOL. I almost climbed to the top but gave up. And perhaps good thing i didn't climb up with yujia and silei, cos I actl got a fever later in the day cos of the super strong cold winds and we perspired from all the climbing~~ I AM THIS WEAK LOL! Luckily it was the night before we returned back to singapore, so i had a good night rest since we returned to the hotel early to pack our luggages.
The last morning, before we went to the airport, we went shopping at xidan again!! and this is when all the shopaholic self in us unleashed. LOL Esp in the last 15min before meeting time, I BOUGHT 2 CARDIGANS and 1 SKIRT LOL. didn't even realise till yujia told me" you know you bought 3 clothes in 15 min?" LOL almost got another dress but don't have the colour i want alr :'( So after that, it was home sweet home and it was so great to see rain when we touched down. Freak it was so dry in beijing!!!

And yay, ytd met blod for lunch at amk and finally settled my LAKSA craving ^^ also got the christmas present for nigel's christmas partaye gift exchange~ and my mum is more happening than me, she is out now at her company's christmas party LOL WHUT. She locked me inside the house today cos she forgot to return me my keys and i had no keys to go out T.T and today went to meet tongwei and ivonn to get pointe shoes at sonata. ivonn helped tongs and I choose our first pair of pointe shoes and omg i am so excited and scared now of going on pointe (tmr???) !!
Ok, that's all for now!! CYAAAAA ^^ anyway come down scape this saturday cos I'm having a stall for flea w peishi jasmine and peijun~ COME BUY OUR STUFF!!!
And i need a job!!
